A snatch block is essentially a pulling block assembly used in tandem with a winch.A snatch block is a pulley assembly with a side plate that swings open. The block itself is a wheel with a fixed axel, and with an internal groove (called the ‘sheave’) which carries the wire rope. The side plates or 'cheeks' house the wheel assembly. We make snatch blocks from 2ton to 200  tons.
